If you are working on sci-fi weapon sound effects, then this one is for you.

As I have been experimenting with Vital over the past few weeks, I have been designing a lot sci-fi sounds, layers, and textures. This week I decided to place some of these sounds together to redesign the energy sword sound from the game Halo.

In this week’s video, I’ll share how I used Vital patches to design layers of the energy sword. I’ll also show how I used other synthesized sounds, reversed impacts, and glitchy sounds for the final design.

In this video, we’ll go over:

  • Layer-by-layer breakdown of each sound used in the design
  • How I designed Vital patches for some of the sword layers
  • FX, plugins, processing, and all that fun stuff

If this was valuable to you, please consider sharing it!
